Crowded Out Of Christ: Push Back

Crowded Out Of Christ: Push Back

I love the story in Luke of the woman who had an issue with blood for 12 years, and fought the crowd to come behind Jesus to touch His garment. She was healed.

Is there a crowd keeping you from seeking Jesus? Is it friends, family, or your spouse? How about the guys down at the bar, or the your coworkers?

As a rookie cop, I carried my bible and smiled even in the worse situations. I had the light of Christ burning in my soul and I couldn’t hide it.

But through the years, I allowed my peers to ridicule and mock me. Although in mostly good nature, I left the bible in my locker and the smile twisted into a snarl at the inhuman things people did to one another.

By God’s grace, I pushed through my crowd that had once kept me from reaching out to Jesus. Brothers, do not allow anyone or anything keep you from going to Him. It might even be unintentional acts, but they are still what is keeping you from Him.

How about our Brick Breakers page? There are lots of Brothers who share and send DMs which is totally cool, but is there a reason why you’ve not liked the page or shared it with other Brothers? Is there a social media crowd keeping you from Christ?

I’ve been in the #trenches and know how easy it is to get swept up in a shift away from Christ. But I also know that I had to push through my crowd to find Him.

I love this lesson from Luke and her story. I want to share something else about it later, but for now, don’t get crowded out for Christ.

Much Love / Much Respect,

“Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched. And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?”Luke 8
